The fourth chapter in the Torabhaig Legacy Series, Sound of Sleat takes its name from the dramatic stretch of water separating the Isle of Skye from the mainland. Crafted from a blend of Concerto and Laureate malted barley peated to over 78 PPM and fermented with 100% Pinnacle MG yeast for 72 hours, this single malt captures the distillery’s evolving signature of “Smoke with Taste.” Matured in Quercus Alba American oak, the whisky draws complexity from first-fill heavily toasted barrels, first-fill Kentucky Bourbon casks aged four to six years, and well-seasoned Bourbon barrels with over a decade of use. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, it offers a natural, full-bodied character. On the nose, you can expect gentle aromas of orange and apricot mingle with sweet maritime seaweed, hints of popcorn, soft pipe tobacco, and delicate notes of honey, vanilla, and boiled sweets. The palate follows with light oak spice and rich, sweet bonfire smoke, underpinned by
