Trimbach Riesling 2019

Trimbach Riesling is a single-variety Riesling white wine from Alsace AOC made by Trimbach. Trimbach is a winery dating back to 1626 and located in the medieval city of Ribeauvillé. The Trimbach family has been at the helm for 13 generations and currently has over 15,000 hectares of vineyards. About 1,600 of these are classified as Grand Cru. Throughout their history they have produced fruity but structured, elegant, balanced and long-living wines. The wine is not aged in foudres or barrels but it always spends a few months or years aging in the bottle in the winery so it is at its best when it reaches the market. The soils where the Trimbach Riesling grapes grow are formed with marl, limestone and sandstone. The area has a semi-continental climate, with cold and dry winters and hot summers.
