Besides rotational angle measurement, the MT6701 also provides a "push-button" output, enabling a single-chip rotary/push-button function. The MT6701 senses the magnetic field component perpendicular to the chip . As the radially magnetized magnet rotates on the chip , the MT6701 outputs a corresponding angle signal from 0° to 360°. The MT6701 is a magnetic angle encoder based on the differential Hall effect principle.
