The subtle design with the characteristic features of Scandinavian minimalism was created by Danish designer and co-founder of the company, Søren Ravn Christensen, who had a very specific goal in mind with his design: "The illusion of weightlessness on the earth's surface had to be challenged by a lightweight construction that defies gravity."
