Vigneti Massa Anarchia Costituzionale 2024

Since the 1970s, there has been great concern about the recovery of Timorasso, a white variety native to Piedmont (northern Italy), which was on the verge of disappearing. Since then, Walter Massa has been cultivating 30 hectares of vineyards, most of them of this variety, in the Tortona area, specifically in the hills of Monleale, at an altitude of about 300 metres above sea level. However, this is not the only variety grown at Vigneti Massa (the winery founded by Walter’s ancestors in 1879); other varieties like Barbera, Croatina, Freisa and Moscato are also grown there. From this latter variety (one of the most widely planted in northern Italy) comes Vigneti Massa Anarchia Costituzionale, a sparkling, sweet and very aromatic sparkling wine. The grapes for this wine are grown in the Tortona area (about one hour from Milan).
