Villeroy & Boch Subway - WC Seat without Soft Closing white

It has nothing to do with the lid that was included with the toilet upon delivery. The hinges and workmanship are all poor.

Given the price, it was quite disappointing to discover that, unlike most seats in the range, it lacks the system that stops the closure without it slamming.

The door leaf is well made, but the mounting nut is very fragile (a design flaw). The manufacturer does not acknowledge the issue and refuses to replace a part for a few pence. Avoid it.

Relatively easy to install. Obviously, it’s the lid that fits best on the Subway, because it’s the original.
