Originally, the first pedal bucket was created by Vipp's founder Holger Nielsen back in 1939. Holger's wife, Marie, needed a bucket that could be opened with her feet in her hairdressing salon. With this need in mind, he created the first design for the now legendary pedal bucket. The pedal bins are made with a lid in stainless steel and a body in powder-coated steel.
