FOR CUTTING: This cut-off wheel is designed to cut steel and metal. Each metal cutting wheel contains a specially sized abrasive grain and layers of fiberglass reinforcement sheets pressed into the cut-off wheel. It is then baked at high temperatures. These abrasive wheels are compatible with chop saws and high speed cut-off saws. BONDED ABRASIVE DISC: This Virginia Abrasives bonded abrasives cut-off wheel uses a resinoid bond that microfractures during use, constantly exposing newer, sharper edges to maximize productivity, minimize overheating, and increase the life of the grinding wheel. The microfracturing of abrasive particles maintains the cut-off wheel's cut-rate and performance. COMPATIBILITY: Our Reinforced Type 1 cut-off wheel work with high-speed portable gas and electric chop saws. The abrasive carbide cut-off blade cuts with precision on hard work pieces like metal sheets and surfaces. CLEAN, ACCURATE CUTS: Cut-off wheels cut through metal at 90-degree angles. This results in a thinner cut that is cleaner and more accurate. To prevent damage to the cutting wheel, do not use it for side cutting. SAFETY FIRST: All of our grinding wheels are marked with recommended applications and warnings for safe use. Be sure to read and follow the instructions and always wear personal protective equipment (PPE). The maximum speed of grinding wheels is clearly marked on each wheel.
