SILICATE COMPOUND: Vitcas Ceramic Fibre Rigidiser is a silicate compound used to give a hard outer layer to ceramic fibre blankets, modules, boards, and vacuum moulded parts to seal the surface and protect it from corrosion. APPLICATIONS: The rigidiser is used for coating the surfaces of ceramic fiber materials. These include the ones used in ceramic kilns, forges and those exposed to high velocity gases. ACTS AS HARDENER OR SEALANT: Can be used for Hardening coat for ceramic fiber materials used in forges and for vacuum formed ceramic fiber shapes. INSTALLATION: Make sure that the ceramic fiber surface is clean, and free of grease and oil. Can be applied by brushing, dipping, rolling and spraying. Rigidizer will soak in when it is applied and will be dry in around 30 minutes. COVERAGE: Coverage will vary depending on the density of the ceramic fibre blanket and the application method. On average, 1 litre will cover approximately 2.5m² as a surface coat. Higher absorption may occur when fully saturating thicker ceramic fibre materials., Manufacturer: VITCAS
