For taste, black-eyed peas are often boiled with a ham hock or bacon. In addition, Garlic, tomatoes, onions, and vinegar all contribute to their flavour. ✔ HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS: This is how to prepare perfect black-eyed peas. Peas should be sorted and rinsed. Bring 1-part peas to a boil with 2 parts water over high heat. Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, for 60-90 minutes, or until peas are tender when pierced with a fork.
