William Morris At Home Willow Stripe Privet Green Wallpaper

Originally created by William Morris at Home in 1874, Willow was first produced as a hand block printed wallpaper, embodying his deep appreciation for nature and craftsmanship. Willow Stripe Privet Green showcases intricately intertwined willow leaves in a soft sage green, flowing upward in a graceful, rhythmic movement, laid upon a deep privet green that brings a sense of harmony and balance. By 1877, the design had been translated into a woven silk using traditional hand-loom jacquard techniques and produced in a variety of colourways. Today, the Gallery's collection includes Willow in several interpretations, celebrating its enduring beauty and versatility. Produced on high quality non-woven paper, this wallpaper offers a clean, smooth finish with a modern edge.
