Stretched by hand, each acid-free, archival canvas is primed with highly pigmented titanium dioxide Gesso. The archival cloths give balanced absorbency and tooth which gives improved adhesion and responsiveness to every brushstroke. Only available with the Professional Canvas Range (except for the smaller sizes) is Winsor & Newton's innovative pro-stretcher™ device which makes achieving the perfect tension easy. Simply insert one pro-stretcher™ into each of the canvas' corners and using a screwdriver, adjust each of the devices in the two opposite corners first, following the directions of the arrows on the pro-stretcher™.
