These pearls 'pop' when bitten, releasing a sublime flavour likened to grapefruit mixed with lime. Evergreen thorny foliage stretches across this plant, joined by dainty white Spring to Summer flowers, and ready-to-pick fruit in Autumn. This variety will thrive outside in conditions down to -5C. Keep it outside through much of the year before moving inside for Winter protection. Plus, it's self-fertile, so does not need to be near another variety for pollination.
