Do what they should.

Do not use if your wound is very damp. I had an operation on my foot and these were unable to cope with the exudate. I now have several deep skin ulcers extending up my leg due to the fluid being held against the skin by these damp sponges. Avoid if possible.

This size of 12 x 16 is great, i usually get 6 x 8 from Medicare. Works fairly well ,but seems to leak after 12hrs service. I put bandage over it,seems to irate my wound if its directly on.
