NEOPRENE SHORT: Our 'Original' buoyancy wetsuit shorts are made from top Yamamoto Smoothskin neoprene. The shorts are designed using 3mm neoprene down the centre for buoyancy and 5mm neoprene down the sides to promote hip rotation through each stroke. IMPROVES CORE STABILITY: These buoyancy shorts help place you in the correct horizontal position, helping to build a "neural pattern' of how you should feel in the water. These swim shorts help keep you afloat so you can focus on your arms and legs. Studies show that with continuous training in our buoyancy shorts, your body position, speed and endurance can be significantly increased. SUITABLE FOR OPEN WATER AND POOL SWIMS: These shorts help develop your open water swimming technique while in the pool, where wearing a full wetsuit would either be too hot, or banned by the life-guards. The buoyancy shorts can be used in open-water training or races as an alternative to swimming in a full wetsuit (when the water is warm enough!). FIT AND SIZING: Buoyancy shorts should be tight, but not restrictive on your thighs when out of the water. When you are in the water, you should be able to move naturally and they should not be restricting in any way. We do recommend that if you are in between sizes or are on the upper end of a size, to size up.
