Classic table tennis tables have a standard size. Here the length measures 2.74 meters and the width 1.525 meters. The height, which is measured from the floor to the edge of the table, is 0.76 meters. The official height of the table tennis net is 15.25 centimetres.
In addition to this classic measurement, there are midi table tennis tables as well as mini tables, which are equally suitable for children and adults. The midi tables are slightly smaller but have the same height, while the mini tables are much smaller. However, there is no standard for these plates.

You need enough space for a table tennis table. In addition to the dimensions of the table, the room must offer sufficient freedom of movement. Ideally, it should be 30 square metres, so that you have two metres of space behind the table and one and a half metres at the sides. If your table tennis table is in the basement, you should also consider the ceiling height.

First of all, you should dismantle the panel, i.e. unscrew the legs using a screwdriver. Then you need a van with a large loading area or a large VW bus. The table tennis table fits easily into this and should be well padded with blankets and cushions. Especially the corners should be sufficiently protected during transport.

For the outdoor area, whether in the garden or under the carport, you need a weatherproof table that is not affected by moisture and UV rays. The best table tennis tables are made of weatherproof melamine resin. You should place them in a place where there is no wind and plenty of space.
Make sure that you protect the table with a tarpaulin if it is not going to be used for a long time. In winter, it is best to store the table in your garage, garden shed or tool shed so that it is not damaged by frost or other influences.

With table tennis tables for children, stability is usually the most important thing, because children like to crawl over or under the table. Therefore, make sure that your table tennis table has thick legs and, if possible, cross bracing on the sides. This makes the construction particularly stable.
Foldable tables are good if children only want to play a round now and then. However, folding them up is a particular danger for children. Therefore, so-called mini table tennis tables are well suited for children, which are space-saving, stable and significantly cheaper.

You can remove dirt from outdoor table tennis tables with a soft broom or a steam cleaner. Before winter, it is best to clean the entire table thoroughly with a cloth, lukewarm water and washing-up liquid. You can also clean indoor ping pong tables in this way, but do not use too much water and dry the table thoroughly afterwards so that no moisture penetrates.
You can use simple household products such as washing-up liquid as well as professional table tennis table cleaners from the manufacturer. In general, a folded tabletop is less likely to accumulate dirt and with proper care you can extend the life of the tabletop. Also remember to regularly oil or grease the frame.
