There are different variations of Chou Chou dolls. On the one hand, you will find cute baby dolls with soft bodies that are particularly cuddly and flexible. Such a soft body doll is an ideal playmate that the little ones like to take everywhere.
Unlike cuddly toys, the lifelike dolls are not made entirely of fabric. In addition to the soft body, each baby doll has a cute little doll head whose little face immediately awakens the protective instinct in doll parents.
In addition to the dolls with soft bodies, Zapf Creation has the Mini Chou Chou Birdies range in its assortment. The dolls, which have names like Sunny, Christy and Elly, are small standing dolls. They are not as big as the baby dolls and, unlike them, have a body made of rubber. This allows them to stand and thanks to the movable body parts they can also sit.
The Mini Chou Chou Birdies inspire especially by their friendly face. The big eyes and smiling mouth give them a cheerful character that invites your child to play and confide in them. Thanks to their small size, they fit comfortably in the nursery bag or the children's backpack.

Many children become enthusiastic about dolls at an early age, when they are just one or two years old. However, for safe play, the recommended age for Chou Chou dolls is three years and older. The reason for this is the doll's clothing and accessories. They may contain small parts that can be swallowed and pose a risk to small children playing with them.

Most Chou Chou dolls are between 32 and 42 centimetres tall - so they are a little smaller than babies at birth, but not by much.
As the name suggests, Mini Chou Chou Birdies are smaller. Each doll from the series has a size of twelve centimeters.

Basic versions of Chou Chou dolls don't really have any functions. They do have sleeping eyes, i.e. eyelids that close when you put the dolls to bed to sleep, and movable arms and legs as well as a rotating head, but this is already standard for dolls.
In addition, you can also find doll models that can do a lot more. These include, for example, the following:
Clap your hands: The Chou Chou doll claps its hands by itself and sings the popular children's song "Backe, Backe Kuchen".
Tickle me: If you tickle the doll under its arms, it laughs.
Babbling Baby: Chou Chou has more than one function. If you hold her mouth to your cheek, she gives you a kiss, if you touch her lower lip with your finger, she makes baby sounds, if you squeeze her hand, she babbles and if you tickle her body, she starts to laugh.
Sneezing: The functional doll comes with a small flower, the fragrance of which makes her smile and laugh. Sometimes, however, the scent tickles her nose and she begins to sneeze.
Mommy make me better/Mommy, I have a fever: If you press on the doll's back, she gets sick. She gets red cheeks and cries - the baby clearly has a fever. If the doll's mummy or daddy lovingly looks after the little one, gives her the medicine provided and strokes her tummy, she immediately feels better and stops crying. Even if the name suggests otherwise, it is not only girls who are happy about the doll model. Your boy is sure to be just as happy and empathetic with his little doll daughter.
You can find more Chou Chou dolls that come with different functions. Some even come with a baby monitor that tells you when the doll wants to drink, the pacifier has slipped out of its mouth or the baby wants to sleep. Via the baby monitor you can hear it crying or how it breathes calmly in its sleep.

Clothing is definitely included in the delivery - none of the dolls come as naked dolls.
How many other accessories are included depends on the model. Many of them come with a bottle or a pacifier. Sometimes the set also includes nappies for changing. Some dolls even come with their own little cuddly toy.
The more extensive the functions of the Chou Chou doll, the more extensive the accessory set usually is. For example, the model "Mummy, I have a fever" includes a pacifier with integrated clinical thermometer, a stethoscope, a medicine bottle and a matching spoon for it as well as plasters.
