Built to withstand outdoor conditions: manufactured from Z275 galvanised steel with a declared characteristic yield strength of 220 N/mm² and a minimum 20% elongation at failure, so the plate flexes slightly under overload instead of snapping suddenly, for a safer structural connection. Fits almost any timber joint: this 280 x 55 x 2.5mm (11.02 x 2.17 inch) flat plate has pre-punched fixing holes on both sides, ready for nails or screws with no on-site drilling, so it works across butt joints, lap joints and splices instead of being limited to one fixed 90-degree corner like an angle bracket. Suits a wide range of timber jobs: splice two lengths of timber end to end, brace fence panels and posts against wind and lateral load, reinforce a cracked or split joist or rafter, or add extra strength to roof truss, stud wall and decking substructure connections.
