Armagnac has been produced for 700 years making it the oldest spirit in France (possibly the world). It’s one of three French “Appellation Contrôlée” brandies (others being Cognac and Calvados). This XO blend alone has won 6 gold and 6 silver medals Since 1851, Janneau has been one of oldest & finest Armagnac producers. They have the largest stock of old Armagnac in the world (10% of stocks over 10 years old) Janneau's flagship blend. Every drop of this prized eau-de-vie has been allowed to mellow in French Limousin oak casks for at least 13 years, though some will mature for up to 25 years Armagnac is unique in that it is one of the only appellations to release its brandies by vintage.
