When combined with the separately available 50-100mm zoom, the two lenses provide a wide, versatile 28-100mm total range and an almost 3.6x zoom ratio. Zoom features include amber flares, focus marks in both feet and meters, 0.8 MOD cine gears on focus, iris, zoom rings and a 77mm front filter thread. The "Amber" version offers warm orange horizontal lateral flaring for a warming cinematic feel, emotionally drawing the viewer into the scene. Whilst blue streaks may be more traditional, they can give a cold look even in warm lighting which may not suit the scene. Amber is therefore a great alternative, or the Silver version (Neutral) can be used to adapt between cool or warm flares according to lighting and grading.
