Marshalls Garden Berberis thunbergii 'Pink Bird' is a mound-forming deciduous barberry with striking variegated foliage of purple, pink and white that turns vivid red and orange in autumn. It produces small cream flowers in spring (May) that attract pollinators. Growing to around 1.5 m high and wide, this spiny shrub suits borders, pots and small gardens and prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Hardy to H4, it establishes well with regular watering and occasional feed.
