This hardy, mid-season dessert variety produces reliably heavy crops of medium to large greenish-yellow fruit with an aromatic, apricot-like flavour, sweet enough to eat straight from the bush. Naturally disease-resistant and perennial, the plants are dependable in UK climates and often increase yields year on year. Ideal for pots, patios, small or cottage gardens and raised beds, the plants reach 1.0-1.5 m. Plant in moist, well-drained fertile soil (pH 5.5-6.5) in full sun or part shade; water regularly, mulch to retain moisture, and apply a balanced fertiliser in spring.
