This won't work if you don't have a gas hob. The plates don't sit flat on a stovetop, the cast iron is of poor quality so everything sticks to it, and there is so much horizontal play in the hinge that it is hard to close properly. Save yourself the money and get a higher quality one instead.

Made waffles in the fire, make sure you spray it with an oil or something so they don't stick. But once the iron is warm you make waffles in no time. Great product
