This 38-year-old whisky from The Singleton distillery has been made using double-maturation, with this style of ageing being the first of its kind for the distillery. In the pursuit of exceptional flavour, Maureen Robinson, The Singleton’s Malt Master, matured the liquid initially in American oak barrels for 12 years, before being moved over to a selection of bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry and new oak casks for a particularly long second maturation - the longest in The Singleton's history in 26 years! Created to be shared and enjoyed, the Glen Ord 38 Year Old was bottled at 49.6% abv.
