Fast set ups are assured with the etched incremental markings on the template for the barrel and spindle ratios as well as the lock handle backset, with standard backsets of 44mm and 57mm catered for. Long rotating stops set the jig to the edge of the door with a set of additional spacers supplied to move the jig furthe in from the edge, catering for locks with slightly different backsets, covering a wider range of locks. The jig quickly sets to either side of the door, simply rotating the stops for repositioning on the other side for maximum productivity on single or batch work applications. Using a 12mm straight cutter and a 20mm guide bush, the jig routs a 16mm hole for the spindle bar and the lock cylinder barrel, with 1mm clearance around the barrel for a high class fit and finish.
