Blinds

To clean blinds, start by dusting them with a microfiber cloth to remove any loose dirt or debris. Next, use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment to vacuum both sides of the blinds. Finally, clean the blinds with a mild soap and water solution, being careful not to get the blinds too wet. If you want to clean the blinds in your washing machine, put them in a pillowcase or mesh laundry bag before washing them on the gentle cycle.

First, measure the width of the window at the top, middle, and bottom, using a tape measure. Use the narrowest width measurement when ordering your blinds. Next, measure the height of the window at the left, middle, and right. Use the longest height measurement when ordering your blinds. Finally, decide how you want the blinds to be mounted. The three most common mounting options are inside the window frame, outside the window frame, or flush with the ceiling. Depending on your chosen mounting option, you may need to make additional measurements.

If you plan on removing your blinds for cleaning, simply follow the instructions that came with your blinds. In general, most blinds can be taken down by removing the screws or brackets that hold them in place. Once the screws or brackets are removed, you should be able to lift the blinds off the window.

If you plan on removing your blinds permanently, you may need to cut the cords that raise and lower the blinds. Use a drill or utility knife to make a small hole in the cord, then thread a wire or string through the hole and tie it off. This will prevent the cord from being pulled back through the hole. Finally, use a screwdriver or utility knife to remove the screws or brackets that hold the blinds in place.

Be sure to remove all the hardware and brackets so that they can be reused.

To put blinds up, first gather the supplies you will need: a drill, screwdriver, spirit level, and tape measure. Next, mark the desired location for the blinds on the wall. Then, using the drill, create pilot holes at the marks. Next, insert the screws into the pilot holes and tighten them. Finally, hang the blinds on the screws.
